About Author Tracey Kelly

Tracey Kelly writes emotionally rich, true-to-life romance where love leads to healing, purpose, and second chances.
With more than 25 contemporary and inspirational novels to her name, she’s known for creating flawed but deeply relatable characters who face real-world struggles—often with a dose of medical drama (a nod to her background as an Army combat medic and civilian EMT) or a biker twist, inspired by two decades managing her family’s motorcycle business (and riding since she was sixteen).
If you’ve explored her books, you may have noticed something unique: her stories range from steamy romance to realistic Christian romance.
Tracey’s writing journey has always reflected her personal journey—one that hasn’t been straight or simple, but real. Some of her stories come from seasons of searching—times of compromise, struggle, and figuring out what she believed. Others come from a deeper place of faith, where grace, redemption, and transformation take center stage. (You can read more about that here.)
She doesn’t see those stories as contradictions.
She sees them as a reflection of a life still being shaped. A faith still being refined. A storyteller drawn—again and again—to redemption in all its forms.
No matter which book you pick up, you’ll find a common thread woven through every story:
Heroes that hurt. Love that heals.
Her characters wrestle with real-life challenges—temptation, failure, loss, identity, and faith. Some start far from God. Some fight their way back. None of them are perfect.
But every story holds onto hope.
Because transformation is possible.
Because grace meets us where we are.
And because no matter where we start—
the story isn’t over yet.

Tracey lives in small-town Minnesota on a three-acre patch of paradise with her incredibly understanding husband, a bossy cat, and the occasional visit from her two grown children—who’ve long since come to terms with having a motorcycle-riding, romance-writing mom.
When she’s not writing, you’ll find her on her motorcycle, at the lake with family, skiing down a slope, or cheering on a soccer match. And if the day ends with a good book, all the better.
